Grind Gastropub in Ormond Beach

It is expensive, especially if you get an entree. I got the sweet potato encrusted grouper and it was pretty bland, not great for 22 bucks. I also thought the menu was limited and had strange mixtures of food items. The atmosphere is good, mostly country music on the Saturday night I went, and the high tables and chairs were uncomfortable to me. It was also really hot on the back deck. My kids liked it though. I will probably try to go to Hull house next time.

Had SURPRISE 20th Anniversary event for my daughter here. Manager Chelsey was helpful, accommodating and professional. Our server Christina was Exceptional. She tirelessly served not only adults but several kids too. Christina was great to All of us! Would Definitely go back Again. I will be a frequent customer from now on.

Great place and Space. Live music, unique grub and a blast! Visited with Family and couldn’t have had a better time. Shake off the sand and leave the beach bars to the tourists. Hit this spot for a genuinely good experience that will leave you coming back for more!

The atmosphere is pure tiki outside, and the food and drinks are top notch! The staff is very friendly and are on top of it all!

If you like being treated like trash, I recommend this place. The customer service is completely terrible. The female bartender outside was very rude and made very rude comments to customers. The inside male bartender and female bartender also made very rude comments to customers as well. When concerns about the customer services was brought to the attention of the manager working that night, he did not seem to care. While walking into the indoor section of the restaurant (Grind) from the outside bar (Kona) I could smell a strong odor consistent with marijuana coming from the kitchen. It was readily apparent that the odor had to be coming from the kitchen too, because as the doors to the kitchen opened up for a staff member to walk out the odor became stronger. The trash cans in both bathrooms were overflowing and the toilet in the men’s bathroom in the inside section of the restaurant does not flush. The bathroom floors were also disgusting and do not appear to ever be mopped.

I live in Saint Augustine but whenever I'm down in the Ormond area I always stop in. Creative menu. I like the food. Last time I got the poke appetizer with tortilla chips. Tasted great! The servers are always attentive. They have live music a lot which is nice. Seems like the wait always ends up being 20-30 minutes for a table outside as it's typically pretty busy. Highly recommend.

Service was excellent and the food was really good. Our food came out quickly and the drinks were made to perfection!!

Such a Hidden Gem. This has been one of my favorite places since day one. The atmosphere is amazing. The service is great. The food is out of this world, I've never had anything I didn't like. Highly recommend when you go with the group that everybody gets something different and you taste from each other's plates. They showcase beers from local breweries. They have free valet parking and live music on the patio. Amazing!

We really liked this place. The vibe was cool. The food (aside from an overdone NY strip) was excellent! I could have eaten 2 more servings of my lobster mac and cheese. Our server, Casey, was also great. We told her about the steak and she was very apologetic. She would have fixed it, but we'd already eaten half of it. So no worries. The only other thing we didn't like was that when we walked in, we just kind of stood around cluelessly, waiting for someone to tell us if we can seat ourselves or wait for them. There was no sign or anyone in front. Finally, we asked another couple who'd just seated themselves. They told us some staff in the back said to sit wherever we could find. We'd definitely go back the next time we are in town.

Our waitress was perfect. The rum Runner was sweet so we asked to have a shot to go with it. Our waitress ensured it had both rums that were in the rum Runner. Our Johnny be gouda flat bread was just right.

First time here, really cool atmosphere, good service and food. We ordered the Singapore Sling and Disco drink. Along with the lobster macaroni & cheese and meatloaf.

They have a great tiki bar out back that we would have not know about unless we were meeting locals. It's like two bars in one. Interesting menu, lots of beer to choice from, good wine on the menu. The service was OK. I skipped dinner and went right for the Jamison bread pudding, best decision I made all night! Sorry, I didn't take a picture before we devoured the whole thing.

Stopped in on a weekday. Our server, Corinna, gives outstanding service. She has a great sense of humor and makes you feel like her only table. I got the Johnny Be Gouda pizza — aMAZing. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, with good music. Highly recommend.

Varied menu, imaginative dishes, usually well prepped. My experience not always consistent but not a deal breaker. Outdoor bar and restaurant are enjoyable in good weather. Give it a try.

Highly recommend!! It’s an annual dinner stop for my family during our vacation in Daytona. Each year it always exceeds our expectations. The outdoor seating is a great environment for a restaurant and they have amazing food and cocktails. Staff is always very attentive and friendly. The only downside if parking can be difficult but they do offer valet. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Great place, food and service. The bartender and kitchen went above and beyond to give me a great dish when I requested changes. The only reason for 4 stars is the cigarette smoke here is a bit overwhelming.

Absolutely loved this place from the atmosphere , the service to the very last bite!! Don’t miss the lamb pizza, the Buffalo burger or the coconut shrimp- the sauce is divine!!

What a great outdoor atmosphere, it has it all! Located in beautiful downtown Ormond Beach right by the river. Tropical setting, live tunes, local craft suds, professional service, and outstanding food. My only knock would be the second hand smoke but it’s a pub so it’s expected and still gets a top rating. Never would have complained about smokers 25 years ago but society and me personally have changed I guess? Don’t let that stop ya from enjoying one of the top outside dinning/party experience available in the area! 2 for 1 happy hour apps at the bar are a BONUS🏆

Delicious food and great service. We ate the Brisket pizza (yummy) and also the steak bites and the black bean hummus. Great Moscow mules! Great place with a fun atmosphere.

A “must” for anybody visiting Ormond Beach. Incredible atmosphere out back with a tiki bar vibe and incredible food.

First time for us. We all selected the Brunch Buffet. It was great! Lots of great food to select from. Also included was an omelet bar. You pick what you want and they cook it for you! Like beeing on a cruise ship. Great place, warm atmosphere, friendly staff. You gotta try this place out. We'll be back!!!!👍👍👍🤓

One of the greatest bars in Florida without a doubt. Tiki bar is so impressive with great drinks, delicious steak top appetizer and some of the most genuine, friendly service from the wait staff and hostesses I have experienced in a long time. Make this a MUST! We loved it so much we went twice!

There were 4 of us for dinner and drinks. The service was timely and friendly. The atmosphere is super and to top it all off the food was excellent. The spinach and artichoke dip was the best I've tasted and the Thai pizza was incredibly good. The Maybe I'm Amazed grouper was superb.

Julius and staff are excellent. Food was definitely on point to one of the best in Ormond Beach. The inside or outside seating gives you great options for whatever "feel" of being beachy tiki or inside in the ac that you want. Plenty of big, small, different, fine foods to satisfy the growling in your tum tum. A must visit.

We like meeting up with friends to hang out at Kona Tiki Bar. The food is good, the service is good, and the atmosphere is interesting and fun. When the weather is pleasant, sitting outdoors at the high-top tables near the bar lets you get the full experience. The only drawback is if there are smokers nearby you have no shelter from it.I had the Lamburger with sweet potato fries and really enjoyed it. Their regular fries are crispy and not at all greasy. I recommend Kona Tiki Bar as a fun place for a casual get-together. 4/5.

The lobster grilled cheese was amazing and my waitress was awesome. Never got her name but she did an awesome job tonight.

Awesome atmosphere. The local band rocked the night. Went to a birthday hangout and the food there was really good. The meatballs was our favorite! But very good service, entertainment and food.. all in all great night.

Last night had an excellent dinner outside at their Tiki Bar. Heaters were going, so perfectly comfortable temperature. Entertaining band, food tasty, drinks are generous. Staff pleasant. Beautiful upscale tiki bar decor. Fun, upbeat, lively, A+...

Super cool vibe, I love hanging out here. They usually have live music on the weekends. If you want to try something a bit different but promise to not disappoint, try the peanut pizza. It's so good, very different but you won't be able to stop eating. (Not recommend it you have a peanut allergy)

Absolutely adore this place, it holds a special place in my heart because it was it where my S/O and I had our first date. The food is delicious and so are the drinks. The atmosphere is very relaxing and chill, most of the time I’ve gone, they’ve had live music. It’s a great place for a date, get together with friends/family, or grab a drink. The service is always spectacular. Highly recommend.

We LOVE the Grind! Always our go-to place for peanut butter chicken pizza (Johnny be Gouda) which is AMAZING! Ask for extra peanut butter sauce! Their brownies a la mode is enough to share 2 or 3 ways for $5! Staff is usually prompt and friendly. Sometimes they have live bands outside and/or karaoke inside. We've seen folks gather here from all ages 20s-70s. Inside is sort of a steampunk atmosphere while outside at the Kona Bar is more of a younger type atmosphere! We love this place! Highly recommended!
